Who is responsible for this website?
EASY EDU SDN BHD operates easyedu.com.my and is responsible for this notice. The company is part of ES PRODUCATION GROUPS BERHAD. Its published contact route for privacy questions, as for every other enquiry, is easyedu.my@gmail.com; no postal address or telephone number is published.
This notice covers the public website only: the pages you read, the measurement tools they load and any email you choose to send from them. It does not describe any school platform or app. A school that uses a digital learning platform should receive a separate notice for that service, covering the records of students, parents and staff it holds. The school data questions guide explains what such a notice and its supporting terms should answer.
What does the website collect when you visit?
You do not have to give your name, email address or any school information to read this website. Information is still collected automatically in three ways, set out in the table. Google Analytics 4 places cookies in your browser holding a randomly generated identifier, so that repeat visits can be counted without a sign-in. To ask how long this data is kept, or to have it removed, email easyedu.my@gmail.com.
| Tool | Why it is there | What it records, in general terms | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website hosting | Delivers the pages and protects the service | Technical request details such as IP address, browser and time of request | Netlify, the website’s hosting provider |
| Google Tag Manager | Loads the measurement code on every page | A request to Google’s servers, which carries your IP address and browser details | |
| Google Analytics 4 | Shows how the site is used | Pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location, device and browser type | Google, on the company’s behalf |
| Search Console tag | Proves to Google that the company manages the domain | Nothing about visitors |
How can you block or limit this measurement?
Every page on easyedu.com.my works in full without Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics, so blocking them costs you nothing. Measurement runs in your browser, which means your browser settings control it. Any of the following will stop or reduce it:
- Block cookies for easyedu.com.my in your browser’s cookie or site settings.
- Delete cookies already stored for the site, which resets the Google Analytics identifier.
- Turn on your browser’s tracking protection, or use a content-blocking extension that blocks googletagmanager.com.
- Read the site in a private window, which discards its cookies when the window closes.
Blocking works per browser and per device, so repeat it on each one you use.
What happens to an email you send to Easy Edu?
The contact links on this website open your own email program. Nothing is sent until you press send, and the website itself receives nothing. The published address is a Gmail address, so your message is delivered through Google’s Gmail service and read by Easy Edu in that mailbox to answer the enquiry. Easy Edu receives only what you choose to write: your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of the message. To ask how long an email is kept, or to have yours deleted, write to easyedu.my@gmail.com.
Send only what the enquiry needs. Do not include student records, identity documents, passwords, payment-card details or information about a child’s health or family. The contact page shows what a useful school enquiry contains without any of it.
How can you ask about information you have sent?
Write to easyedu.my@gmail.com and set out the request under the four headings below. Do not resend any sensitive information to make the request.
- Which message
- The subject line or a short description of the email your request concerns.
- Date sent
- The day you sent it, so the request can be matched to the right message.
- What you want
- A copy, a correction, or for the message to be deleted.
- School and role
- If you wrote for a school, which school and in what role.
Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Department publishes the principles of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709) and answers common questions about the rights individuals have under it. Its summary of the seven principles is a useful plain-language reference for any request.
When will this notice change?
The notice will be updated whenever the website changes what it collects. Any of these six changes would trigger a new version:
The review date at the top of the page shows the last time it was checked against the live site. A change to the tools listed in the table above is the clearest signal that the notice needs a new date.
For guidance on the separate question of how a school platform should handle student and parent data, see the school platform evaluation guides, in particular the guide to data ownership, export and deletion.
